How does the "eternal life" Jesus offers differ from the "ordinary life" people live?
It is the eternal life of the spirit, freed from the physical and materialistic needs and wants we feel on earth. It can be spent in Heaven, if we live by God's word, or in eternal damnation if we be hypocrites or blastphemers. By: Richard Warren - May 05, 2008 - Public Category: Life Through the Son

Does the resurrection of judgment relate with Jesus`Last Judgment?
Life of God is eternal life.It is the perfect actualization in which there are no death and past, but present and future, and there purpose is means, means is purpose, and only love brightens. But our ordinary life is human and dead life. How does the eternal life Jesus offers differ from the ordinary life people live?
He brings the promise of eternal life and spiritual joy with the Father. Now on the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink! He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water. But he said this about the Spirit, which those believing in him were to receive. For the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus wasn`t yet glorified. It`s the life he will bring through his death. The meaning of true death and life being reversed: we die in the flesh and live in the spirit so the opposite of what is commonly thought. To Live you need to die to detach yourself from anything that is eartlhy. One day we too will ascend to a spiritual life of communion with the Father so we need to appreciate understand its true value following Christ`s example of renouncing and giving of the self and of eartlhy things in our daily lives. If you truly believe in Jesus being God you have to leave his bodily form you have to trust in his spiritual essence his being God. Like when we have the transfiguration. Even the disciples find it difficult to detach themselves from their bodily leader and fail to recognise his spirit. They feel dejected and abandoned whereas he is strongly present. Victory comes through death: that is not what we `ordinarily` think is it? But when we partake of the Sacrifice and eat his body and drink his Precious Blood and quench our thirst at the Fountain of Truth that will sprout in our fully alive hearts too. But such fountain cannot be rooted in us if we live the ordinarly life immersed in the flesh. By: Alessandra Parrini - January 13, 2007 - Public Category: Life Through the Son (1) Comments

For this cause the Jews
persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill him, because he did these things on
the Sabbath. But Jesus
answered them, "My Father is still working, so I am
working, too." For this cause therefore the Jews
sought all the more to kill him, because he not only broke the Sabbath,
but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God. Jesus therefore answered them,
"Most certainly, I tell you, the Son can do nothing
of himself, but what he sees the Father doing. For whatever things he
does, these the Son also does likewise. For the Father has affection for
the Son, and shows him all things that he himself does. He will show him
greater works than these, that you may marvel. For as the Father raises the dead
and gives them life, even so the Son also gives life to whom he desires.
For the Father judges no
one, but he has given all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son, even
as they honor the Father. He who doesn't honor the Son doesn't honor the
Father who sent him.
"Most certainly I tell you,
he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and
doesn't come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. Most certainly, I tell you, the
hour comes, and now is, when the dead will hear the Son of God's voice;
and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in
himself, even so he gave to the Son also to have life in himself. He also gave him authority to
execute judgment, because he is a son of man. Don't marvel at this, for the
hour comes, in which all that are in the tombs will hear his voice,
and will come out; those
who have done good, to the resurrection of life; and those who have done
evil, to the resurrection of judgment. I can of myself do nothing. As I
hear, I judge, and my judgment is righteous; because I don't seek my own
will, but the will of my Father who sent me.
